Sue has been visiting local businesses and attractions in West Cumbria while Parliament is on its recess for the party conference season.
Yesterday, Sue visited the Allerdale Court Hotel, in Cockermouth, with her chocolate Labrador, Max, supporting dog-friendly businesses in West Cumbria.
“As a dog owner, I really enjoyed visiting Allerdale Court Hotel with Max. He was made very welcome and he was particularly pleased with the lovely tennis ball that was waiting for him in the dog-friendly bedroom. He hasn’t stopped playing with it since we got home! Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.”
Today, Sue visited the Maritime Museum, on the quayside in Maryport. The museum is run by volunteers as a not-for-profit organisation, proudly telling the story of Maryport’s long and illustrious maritime history.
“It was great to visit the Maritime Museum and find out more about Maryport’s fascinating history. I had been on a visit to Silloth Port earlier in the day, so it was very interesting to contrast a working port with the story of Maryport and its harbour. I was really impressed with the hard work and commitment of the volunteers and look forward to visiting again.
